The team includes Yousif Yaqoob Meshaei, Hassan Abdulqader, Somto Patrick, and Sergei Sekic. They are coached by Serbian coach Bogdan with assistant coach Murtadha Mohammed. A special technical plan was designed to ensure the players perform at their best during the Games.
Assistant coach Murtadha Mohammed said the team is now fully ready after an intensive month-long training programme that started following the Asian Championship in Mongolia. The technical staff carefully selected the most capable players to represent Bahrain in this major event.
The team aims to achieve a historic result in 3x3 basketball, showing the sport’s growth in the Kingdom and the players’ dedication to perform at their best. The Bahrain Basketball Association has provided full support, including a local training camp and several friendly matches to improve teamwork and overall performance.
As part of the final preparations, the team is playing friendly matches against Germany’s Skyliners, who are currently holding a training camp in Bahrain. These matches are the last test before the official competitions and will help the team check its readiness.
Murtadha Mohammed expressed confidence in the players, praising their skills, teamwork, and determination. He said the team is fully committed to representing Bahrain with pride and hopes the Games will mark a new milestone for 3x3 basketball in the Kingdom.
The assistant coach also highlighted that these efforts will not only prepare the players for success at the Asian Youth Games but will also help open doors for Bahrain’s future achievements in continental 3x3 basketball tournaments.
The Bahrain team’s preparation, focus, and ambition reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting youth sports and promoting basketball as a growing and competitive sport. The upcoming Games are a key opportunity for the young athletes to show their talent and inspire others in Bahrain to pursue basketball at higher levels.
