The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command announced that its air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 283 aerial threats targeting the Kingdom since the start of the Iranian attacks.
According to an official statement reported by the Bahrain News Agency, the intercepted threats included 106 ballistic missiles and 177 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aimed at Bahraini territory.
The BDF confirmed that its defence systems acted quickly to neutralize the incoming projectiles and prevent potential damage across the country.
In its statement, the General Command strongly condemned the attacks, stating that targeting civilian sites and private property with ballistic missiles and drones is a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter.
Officials also described the strikes as indiscriminate attacks that pose a serious threat to regional peace and security.
Authorities did not provide additional details about specific locations targeted but emphasized that Bahrain’s defence forces remain fully prepared to protect the Kingdom and respond to any threats.
The announcement comes amid rising tensions in the region following a series of Iranian attacks involving missiles and drones.
