Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manaa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Malaysia, met with a delegation from the University College Sedaya International (UCSI) University healthcare group at the Bahraini Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between Bahrain and Malaysia in healthcare, medical research, and education.
The Malaysian delegation was led by Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, Group Chairman of UCSI Healthcare Group, and accompanied by Dato’ Peter Ng, Founder and Executive Chairman of the UCSI Group.
Focus on Medical Collaboration and Innovation
During the meeting, the UCSI delegation presented an overview of the university’s wide-ranging expertise in healthcare management, hospital infrastructure, and medical training. The group highlighted UCSI’s achievements in developing state-of-the-art medical facilities and providing internationally recognized medical education programs.
They expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration with Bahraini health institutions, universities, and medical research centers to exchange knowledge and foster innovation in patient care, digital health, and healthcare technology.
Exploring Long-Term Strategic Partnerships
The discussion focused on building long-term partnerships that go beyond academic exchange. The Malaysian representatives emphasized UCSI’s commitment to creating opportunities for Bahraini students and healthcare professionals to pursue specialized training and advanced education in Malaysia.
They also explored the potential for joint projects in medical research, hospital management systems, and telemedicine, which would strengthen healthcare capabilities in both countries.
Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah noted that UCSI’s healthcare network includes hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and research facilities that could contribute to Bahrain’s growing health sector.

Ambassador Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manaa expressed appreciation for UCSI’s interest in collaborating with Bahraini institutions. He invited UCSI and other Malaysian healthcare groups to explore investment opportunities in Bahrain’s medical sector, including hospital management, training centers, and pharmaceutical research.
He emphasized that Bahrain’s central location in the Gulf region, coupled with its supportive policies and skilled workforce, makes it an ideal base for regional healthcare expansion.
