His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with Wang Chuanfu, Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of BYD, during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
This meeting aimed to enhance collaboration and exchange knowledge within the electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturing domain. Conversations focused on forging an advanced industrial ecosystem that would foster economic development and attract key global players to vital sectors of the economy.
Both parties also explored strategies to bolster sustainability initiatives and expedite the transition to mobility solutions fueled by alternative energy. These endeavors are in line with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategy and its commitment to harmonizing environmental integrity with economic growth at local, regional, and global scales.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, were also present at the meeting.
