At the third edition of the Saudi International Handcrafts Week, also known as Banan, organized by the Heritage Commission, Chinese artist Wu Jianmei impressed visitors with her extraordinary embroidery skills. Sitting calmly at the Chinese pavilion, Jianmei’s focus and precision drew attention, showing decades of experience and dedication to her craft.

With a delicate needle in her hand, Jianmei worked gracefully, creating intricate designs that seemed almost magical. Her movements reflected a deep connection to her art, as if the thread were an extension of her fingers. For many visitors, this was more than an exhibition—it was a live demonstration of thousands of years of Chinese heritage and artistic tradition.

During the Banan event, Jianmei’s participation as part of the Guest of Honor delegation allowed visitors to engage directly with her work.
