The Dubai Press Club (DPC) has announced the launch of the second edition of the Arab Podcast Programme, a 5-week training course aimed at helping people across the Arab world learn how to create high-quality audio content.
This programme is part of DPC’s wider goal to grow the media industry in the region and improve the podcasting skills of Arab content creators. After the success of the first edition last year, the new programme continues to support the development of Arabic media in the digital world. Participants will receive hands-on training and learn professional skills to create engaging podcasts.
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of DPC, said this initiative supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She highlighted that the programme aims to help Arab media talent use modern tools and technologies to shift from only consuming digital content to actively creating it.
She also mentioned that Dubai has always played a strong role in media innovation and supporting creative people. This programme offers a space for young Arab podcasters to grow their skills and gain both technical and creative knowledge.
The programme covers everything from planning and recording to promoting and making money from podcasts. It aims to inspire a new generation of Arab content creators who can produce powerful and meaningful audio stories that represent the Arab identity.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, said this second edition is built with a strong understanding of how fast podcasting is growing in the region. It includes improved content and focuses on key areas of production. Experienced Arab podcasters will also take part, helping participants build long-term podcast projects.
Mahfoudha Saleh, the programme director, said the initiative shows Dubai’s commitment to growing the Arab media sector by helping creators build world-class audio content.
Starting on 7 July, the 5-week course will support both new and experienced podcasters by giving them the tools they need to succeed. The programme will end with a special session where past graduates will share their journeys and how the programme helped them bring new Arab voices to podcasting.
