Emirates has announced the addition of six new weekly flights on its Dubai–Cairo route starting from 1st December 2025. The new frequencies have been strategically scheduled to align with the airline’s vast international network, allowing passengers greater flexibility and smoother connections. The expansion comes in response to the growing demand for travel during the winter season, which sees a sharp rise in both leisure and business passengers between the UAE and Egypt.
Building on this expansion, Emirates will further increase the service to five daily flights starting 1st February 2026. The new schedule will complement the existing four daily flights, providing travelers with even more options and improved flight timings. This step underscores Emirates’ strong confidence in Egypt’s travel market and its commitment to serving increasing passenger demand. The expansion also reflects Egypt’s growing importance as both a tourism destination and a key regional hub for business travelers.
The additional flights will be operated using Emirates’ Boeing 777 aircraft, known for its comfort and reliability. The schedule has been designed to ensure seamless connectivity to Emirates’ extensive global destinations across Asia, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and more. This means travelers flying from Cairo can enjoy easier access to destinations across Asia and beyond through Dubai’s world-class hub at the Emirates Terminal 3.
Egypt holds a special place in Emirates’ global network, being one of the airline’s earliest destinations since its launch in 1986. Over the decades, Emirates has expanded its presence in the Egyptian market by increasing flight frequencies, upgrading aircraft types, and introducing new services to meet growing demand. Cairo already enjoys the highest number of Emirates A380 deployments in the Middle East and North Africa region outside of Dubai. With the addition of a fifth daily service, Cairo will become the most served city in Emirates’ African network, demonstrating the airline’s deep commitment to the Egyptian market as it approaches four decades of service.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the importance of Cairo in the airline’s operations. He said, “As one of the region’s busiest gateways for both passengers and cargo, Cairo has long been a key destination for Emirates. The additional service will make it easier for customers to connect across our network, while fostering strong trade and tourism links between Egypt, the UAE and the wider world.” The move will not only enhance travel convenience but also boost tourism and business exchange between the two nations.
Along with passenger travel, the new frequencies will also support increased cargo movement between the UAE and Egypt. Emirates’ Boeing 777 aircraft will offer 300 tonnes of additional cargo capacity per week, opening new opportunities for trade in perishables, consumer goods, and industrial materials. This expanded cargo capacity is expected to strengthen commercial ties between the two countries and provide Egyptian exporters with faster and more efficient access to global markets through Dubai’s world-leading logistics hub.
Since launching its first flight to Egypt in 1986, Emirates has become a trusted partner in the country’s aviation and tourism growth. The airline has carried over 10 million passengers to and from Egypt, reflecting its long-standing role in connecting the nation to the world. Over the years, Emirates has introduced several improvements, such as upgrading to larger aircraft, expanding flight frequencies, and investing in airport services that enhance the travel experience for Egyptian passengers.
Emirates’ expansion on the Dubai–Cairo route reaffirms its dedication to strengthening ties between Egypt and the UAE. The new flights will not only improve passenger convenience but also support tourism, trade, and business partnerships. As demand for travel continues to rise, Emirates’ strategy of adding capacity where it matters most demonstrates its agility and customer-centric approach. With nearly 40 years of uninterrupted service to Egypt, Emirates remains a key player in the region’s aviation development and a vital bridge connecting Egypt to Asia, Europe, and the rest of the world.
