The second round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is set to take place from April 3 to 5, 2026, at the Zayed Sports Complex. Organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the championship—now in its third edition—will bring together elite athletes representing leading clubs and academies from across the UAE.
The three-day event will feature competitions across multiple age categories, highlighting the sport’s growing popularity and strong grassroots development. Day one will host the under-18, adult, and masters divisions for both men and women. On the second day, matches will be held for under-14 and under-16 athletes, while the final day will showcase the under-12 and children’s divisions.
The championship is expected to deliver high-level competition while also encouraging strong community participation, with families invited to attend and support the athletes.
His Excellency Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the Federation, emphasised that the event continues to set a benchmark for sporting excellence. He noted that the championship provides a competitive platform that enhances athletes’ performance and supports their development at all levels.
He further highlighted the Federation’s commitment to organising world-class tournaments while promoting family engagement in sports, aligning with the broader goals of the UAE’s Year of Family initiative.
The championship series consists of eight rounds held across the country, including five Gi and three No-Gi competitions. It serves as a key platform for discovering talent, improving technical skills, and strengthening competition among clubs and academies—further solidifying jiu-jitsu’s position as a leading sport within the UAE community.
