GCC Secretary-General Meets Ukraine Deputy FM To Strengthen Ties

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting highlighted the importance of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the GCC and Ukraine, reflecting shared interests and strategic partnership.

Formal Approval Of Joint Action Plan

During the meeting, both sides exchanged letters to formally approve the Joint Action Plan for 2025–2030. This plan had been agreed upon following the 165th session of the GCC Ministerial Council. The approval signifies a commitment from both parties to implement initiatives that will strengthen economic, political, and cultural cooperation in the coming years.

Goals Of The Joint Action Plan

The Joint Action Plan aims to create a framework for closer collaboration between the GCC countries and Ukraine. It outlines specific objectives in areas such as trade, investment, energy, education, and technology. By working together, both sides hope to advance mutual interests, promote sustainable development, and expand bilateral partnerships across multiple sectors.

Strengthening Gulf-Ukrainian Relations

The officials reviewed the current state of Gulf-Ukrainian relations and discussed ways to enhance them further.
