Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi will host Global Food Week from 21 to 23 October at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The event aims to bring together world leaders, innovators, and companies to discuss food security, sustainability, and agricultural innovation.
Strong Global Collaboration
Organised by ADNEC Group with support from ADAFSA and several national and international partners, Global Food Week is being held in strategic collaboration with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This partnership highlights Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a global hub for food dialogue and sustainability efforts.
Expanding Scale and Participation
This year’s edition marks record participation, with over 2,000 companies and brands from 75 countries taking part. The exhibition space has expanded by 15% to reach 33,542 square metres, showing the rising international interest in the UAE’s food and agriculture initiatives.
Showcasing Innovation and Technology
Global Food Week will include several major events such as the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE) and the Abu Dhabi Date Palm Exhibition. For the first time, it will also feature the AgriTech Forum and the Agricultural Investment Forum, focusing on new technologies, sustainable practices, and investment opportunities in food production.
Commitment to Food Security
Officials from ADAFSA and ADIO emphasised that the event reflects Sheikh Mansour’s vision of strengthening food security and supporting innovation. Through initiatives like the Protein Alternatives (PALT) platform, Abu Dhabi aims to promote sustainable food systems and attract investors to future-focused agriculture.
A Hub for Global Cooperation
With more than 400 international executives expected under the Hosted Buyers programme, the event will serve as a key meeting point for industry collaboration. Workshops, exhibitions, and expert discussions will highlight Abu Dhabi’s growing role in shaping the global food future and advancing sustainable economic growth.
