Riyadh Hosts Indonesia Cultural Shows at Global Harmony 2

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Global Harmony 2 initiative in Riyadh continues to captivate audiences with international cultural performances, attracting over 2 million visitors since its launch. The initiative is organized by the Saudi Ministry of Media in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and provides a lively platform to celebrate the Kingdom’s embrace of global cultural diversity.

As part of the festival, Indonesia presented its rich cultural heritage at Al-Suwaidi Park, one of the Riyadh Season zones. On the second day of the Indonesian showcase, visitors enjoyed a variety of traditional performances, including folk dances, drum displays, and musical presentations. These performances reflected the unique stories and customs of the Indonesian islands, giving the audience an authentic taste of the nation’s traditions.

Crowds engaged enthusiastically with the performances, enjoying the festive atmosphere filled with rhythmic music, traditional dances, and vibrant visuals. The lively shows highlighted the skill and creativity of Indonesian artists, drawing attention to the country’s long-standing cultural richness and diversity.

In addition to live performances, cultural pavilions offered visitors the opportunity to explore Indonesian handicrafts and traditional cuisine. Guests could admire intricate handmade artworks and sample classic dishes, creating a fully immersive experience that celebrated the nation’s cultural identity. This combination of music, dance, and food gave attendees a deeper appreciation for Indonesia’s artistic and culinary traditions.

The Global Harmony 2 initiative brings together 14 world cultures, each presenting their unique heritage to Riyadh’s local and international audiences. The activities continue daily through December 20, providing ongoing opportunities for residents and tourists to explore different cultures, traditions, and artistic expressions. Visitors have praised the festival for its engaging programming and the chance to experience global culture in a single location.

By hosting diverse international performances, the initiative also promotes cultural understanding and strengthens Saudi Arabia’s reputation as a hub for global arts and entertainment. Attendees have noted the inclusive atmosphere and the festive spirit, which encourages participation and interaction between different cultural communities.

The Indonesian showcase has become one of the highlights of Riyadh Season, illustrating the power of cultural exchange to bring people together. Traditional dances, music, and food create a lively and memorable environment for families, tourists, and culture enthusiasts alike. The initiative fosters both appreciation for foreign cultures and pride in the Kingdom’s ability to host large-scale international events.

With performances, workshops, and cultural pavilions, Global Harmony 2 continues to offer a unique and educational experience. The initiative not only entertains but also educates visitors about global heritage, fostering understanding, respect, and unity among different cultures. Through programs like these, Riyadh strengthens its role as a city that celebrates international culture and promotes a global community spirit.

The festival is set to continue until December 20, with more exciting showcases from other countries planned in the coming days. Residents and tourists are encouraged to participate in the celebrations, explore cultural exhibits, and enjoy the diverse entertainment offered at this landmark event.
