His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan marked the inauguration of the fifth installment of Make it in the Emirates at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, held from May 4 to 7.
This event, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in collaboration with significant government and industry stakeholders including ADNOC and ADNEC Group, carries the theme “Advanced Industry. Emerging Stronger,” spotlighting the UAE’s commitment to innovation and industrial advancement.
During his attendance, Sheikh Mansour explored various pavilions and examined cutting-edge technologies such as AI solutions and contemporary manufacturing systems. He received updates on national efforts designed to enhance the industrial sector, optimize supply chains, and elevate the UAE’s standing in global competitiveness.
Regarded as the largest industrial aggregation in the region, the event gathers government dignitaries, investors, entrepreneurs, and specialists from across the globe to discuss fresh opportunities and partnerships.
On the sidelines, Sheikh Mansour met with Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef from Oman to discuss strategies for bolstering economic collaboration between the two nations.
Sheikh Mansour reiterated that the UAE leadership is dedicated to fostering industrial progress by promoting innovation, drawing investments, and cultivating a flexible business landscape. He emphasized that this event has become integral to the nation’s economic diversification efforts, supporting long-term initiatives such as “We the UAE 2031” and “UAE Centennial 2071.”
Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, during his address, highlighted considerable growth observed in the industrial sector, noting its contribution has soared to AED 200 billion, reflecting a 70% increase since 2021. Industrial export values now reach AED 262 billion, which includes AED 92 billion from advanced industries.
He also announced that industrial procurement opportunities could reach AED 180 billion over the upcoming decade, with intentions to localize over 5,000 products in essential sectors like food, healthcare, and manufacturing.
ADNOC disclosed projects exceeding AED 200 billion for the next two years and introduced the “Local+” initiative aimed at supporting UAE manufacturers and enhancing local supply chains.
The event showcases over 1,245 companies across 12 sectors, with small and medium enterprises representing 61% of participants. More than 120,000 visitors are anticipated to attend.
Additionally, the government announced a significant AED 1 billion National Industrial Resilience Fund to back vital industries, streamline supply chains, and amplify local production.
Make it in the Emirates 2026 aspires to transform industrial strategies into tangible business ventures by unveiling new projects, promoting advanced technologies such as robotics and AI, and generating employment opportunities for Emiratis.
The platform continues to significantly contribute to nurturing startups, attracting investments, and establishing a robust and sustainable industrial future for the UAE.
