His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, has officially inaugurated the MWC25 Doha conference today. This landmark event marks its debut in the Middle East and North Africa, orchestrated by the GSMA Association in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Hosted at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, this conference is anticipated to gather leading figures in technology from both global and local domains.

The opening ceremony was graced by numerous esteemed Sheikhs, Ministers, and officials from GSMA, along with pivotal stakeholders in the information and communications technology sector internationally. Their participation underlines Qatar’s emerging role as a significant center for technological advancement within the region.

Following the inauguration, Sheikh Mohammed toured the concurrent exhibition, showcasing a blend of local, regional, and international businesses. The exhibition highlighted cutting-edge developments in 5G networks, artificial intelligence, advanced computing, smart cities, innovative data solutions, and fintech. His Excellency interacted with specialists discussing how such technologies can facilitate Qatar’s digital metamorphosis.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed also explored the Qatari pavilion, which underscores the nation’s digital journey. This pavilion features 17 governmental entities showcasing 32 inventive projects spanning various sectors, including future technologies, digital governance, and smart solutions aimed at enhancing citizen services.

The conference serves as a vital platform for sharing insights on nose-in technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and urban smart solutions. Attendees deliberated on practical AI applications in daily life, business operations, and governmental functions, stressing the significance of sustainable urban planning through smart city ventures, ultimately aligning with Qatar’s future national vision.

MWC25 Doha is designed to forge connections between global technology pioneers and local creators. Sheikh Mohammed’s involvement underscores Qatar’s dedication to nurturing innovation, digital expansion, and the integration of contemporary technologies across sectors. The conference seeks to highlight partnerships that catalyze digital transformation and enhance the region's footprint in international technology domains.
