Tablets Found Inside Supplement Containers

The tablets were reportedly hidden inside containers used for nutritional supplements. Customs inspectors discovered the concealed medication during an inspection at the airport’s T5 terminal.

Passenger Referred for Legal Procedures

Following the seizure, customs officials prepared an official report and referred the individual, along with the confiscated tablets, to Kuwait’s General Department for Drug and Alcohol Control. The authority is expected to handle the case in accordance with the relevant legal procedures.

Customs Monitoring at Kuwait Airport

The General Administration of Customs has reiterated its efforts to monitor entry points and detect attempts to conceal prohibited or controlled substances. Inspections at airport terminals form part of wider efforts to enforce customs regulations and prevent illegal transportation of restricted items.

Why the Seizure Matters

The case highlights the importance of customs checks on passenger belongings and products carried across borders. Travellers should check Kuwait’s rules before carrying prescription medicines or controlled medication and ensure they have any required prescriptions or permits.

The reported seizure involved 192 tablets in total: 93 Lyrica and 99 Tramadol. The individual was referred to the relevant authority for further legal action. Any additional information about the case should be based on official updates from Kuwait’s authorities.
