Dubai's Legend Holding Group has announced a significant AED 500 million investment in the Jebel Ali Free Zone to establish a vast one-million-square-foot automotive headquarters and export hub. This initiative represents one of the company's largest investments to date and aligns with Dubai's ambition to bolster its advanced manufacturing and mobility sectors.
The facility will serve as the primary operational base for Legend Motors. It will provide vehicle storage, preparation, distribution, and aftersales support for over 100 international markets. Development will occur in two phases; the first phase, to be completed by April 2026, will house up to 5,000 vehicles. By January 2028, the site's expansion into a multi-storey facility will enable it to manage more than 20,000 vehicles, enhancing export capabilities significantly.
Designed as an integrated ecosystem, the development includes automated vehicle management systems and logistics solutions. The use of solar power is projected to reduce on-site energy consumption by almost 15%, complementing the emirate’s focus on sustainable industrial practices. Additionally, a dedicated motorcycle assembly line will be featured, anticipating the production of 10,000 electric and non-electric units annually for the GCC markets.
Upon full operational status, Legend Motors is expected to oversee an annual vehicle inventory exceeding 120,000 units, injecting new energy into one of JAFZA's most dynamic sectors. The expansion will create new skilled jobs in engineering, logistics, and operations, contributing to the UAE's growing industrial workforce.
JAFZA is currently home to over 940 automotive firms and has excellent access to Dubai's port and logistics infrastructure. As Legend Holding Group scales its operations, the free zone’s automotive cluster gains additional strength at a pivotal moment when the Dubai auto market is emerging as one of the globe's premier dedicated automotive trade hubs.
This investment enhances Dubai's stature as a competitive center for manufacturing and re-exporting, bolstering the emirate's ongoing initiatives to establish a world-class mobility ecosystem in line with future transport demands.
