Saudi Authority Signs MoU with Falcons Club for Heritage

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Falcons Club. The agreement aims to support national efforts in promoting cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and community engagement across the Kingdom. This collaboration reflects the growing focus on sustainable development and preservation of natural and cultural resources.

Focus on Knowledge Sharing and Expertise

The MoU emphasizes knowledge transfer and the sharing of expertise between the two organizations. By combining the experience of the Royal Reserve Development Authority with the Falcons Club’s heritage and wildlife knowledge, the partnership seeks to implement effective programs and initiatives that benefit communities and raise awareness about Saudi Arabia’s cultural and ecological assets.

Supporting Saudi Vision 2030 Goals

The agreement aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy, protect the environment, and enhance tourism and cultural initiatives. By promoting eco-tourism and heritage activities, the partnership contributes to sustainable growth, encourages public participation, and creates opportunities for education and awareness in conservation and cultural preservation.

Signatories of the MoU

The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Hariqi, CEO of the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority, and Talal AlShamaisi, CEO of the Saudi Falcons Club. Their signatures mark a formal commitment to collaborative projects and initiatives that combine environmental stewardship with cultural heritage promotion.

Joint Programs and Initiatives

Under the MoU, both organizations plan to develop joint programs and projects. These initiatives will focus on activities such as eco-tourism tours, heritage education, wildlife conservation, and public engagement events. By combining resources and expertise, the partnership aims to reach a wider audience and create impactful experiences that encourage participation in sustainable practices.

Community Engagement and Awareness

A key aspect of the partnership is engaging local communities. The MoU encourages programs that involve youth, families, and local organizations to learn about Saudi Arabia’s natural landscapes and heritage. Through workshops, guided tours, and interactive activities, the public will gain a deeper understanding of conservation efforts and cultural traditions, strengthening their connection with national heritage.

Heritage and Environmental Preservation

The agreement also highlights the importance of protecting Saudi Arabia’s natural and cultural heritage. By combining conservation with tourism and educational programs, the partnership seeks to raise awareness about endangered species, ecological balance, and the historical significance of cultural practices. This approach ensures that heritage and the environment are preserved for future generations.

Promoting Sustainable Tourism

The MoU encourages sustainable tourism initiatives that respect the environment while promoting cultural appreciation. Eco-tourism programs will introduce visitors to the Kingdom’s unique natural reserves, traditional wildlife practices, and heritage sites. Such initiatives aim to create meaningful experiences while supporting local economies and preserving national identity.

Both organizations expressed their commitment to long-term collaboration. The MoU provides a framework for planning, monitoring, and implementing projects that meet both environmental and cultural objectives. By working together, the Royal Reserve Authority and the Saudi Falcons Club aim to set an example for public-private partnerships in heritage preservation and eco-tourism.

The MoU between the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority and the Saudi Falcons Club represents a significant step toward promoting cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and community engagement in Saudi Arabia. By combining expertise, resources, and innovative programs, the partnership supports Vision 2030 goals and ensures that heritage and natural resources are preserved for the benefit of future generations.
