A major admit card error ahead of the NEET Re-UG 2026 examination has drawn attention after a student from Nagpur was reportedly assigned an examination centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, instead of a location in India.
The candidate, Abdullah Mohammad Talib, discovered the issue after downloading his admit card from the official National Testing Agency (NTA) website. To his surprise, the document listed an examination centre at an Indian school in Abu Dhabi.
Student Applied From Nagpur
According to the student's family, Abdullah had applied for the examination from Nagpur and selected Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as his preferred examination cities during the application process.
However, when the admit card was released, the allotted examination centre was shown in Abu Dhabi, creating confusion and concern just one day before the examination.
The situation became more serious because Abdullah does not have a passport, making it impossible for him to travel abroad and appear for the test.
Family Shocked by the Error
Speaking about the incident, Abdullah's father, Dr. Mohammad Talib, said the family was shocked after seeing the admit card.
"We are shocked. My son started crying after seeing the admit card," he said.
The unexpected centre allotment caused significant stress for the student and his family as they feared it could affect his chances of appearing in the examination.
NTA Acknowledges Technical Glitch
After the issue was brought to the attention of NTA officials, the agency reportedly acknowledged that the error was caused by a technical glitch. The National Testing Agency assured the family that corrective action would be taken and that a revised admit card with the correct examination centre would be issued.

According to NTA, the student's examination centre will be corrected and updated within a few hours after the verification process is completed.
The assurance has brought relief to the family ahead of the re-examination scheduled for June 21.
Candidates Advised to Check Admit Cards Carefully
Following the incident, candidates appearing for NEET Re-UG 2026 have been advised to carefully verify all details mentioned on their admit cards, including personal information, examination city, and examination centre.
Any discrepancy should be reported to NTA immediately to avoid last-minute problems.
