Boston Children’s Hospital and Dubai Health Team Up for Pediatric Care

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In a significant development timed with World Children’s Day, Boston Children’s Hospital has partnered with Dubai Health to improve pediatric healthcare services in Dubai. The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), underscores both institutions' dedication to clinical excellence, research, education, and community support for children.

Dr. Ryan Nagy, President and COO of Boston Children’s Hospital, alongside Dr. Mohamed Al Awadhi, Executive Director of Dubai Health Women and Children’s Campus—which includes Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, Latifa Hospital, and the Dubai Fertility Centre—penned the MOU, establishing a collaborative framework for future initiatives aimed at bolstering pediatric services within the Dubai Health network.

The visit featured a delegation from Boston Children’s Hospital comprising leading experts in global health, law, and surgery, who explored integrated pediatric care strategies with Dubai Health officials. This exchange offered insights into Dubai Health’s academic health ecosystem while pinpointing potential areas for collaborative programs.

This alliance is expected to not only elevate care standards for children but also bolster clinician training, foster research and innovation, and initiate philanthropic projects that can benefit the broader community. Both organizations highlighted the long-term opportunities of this collaboration, aiming to establish new benchmarks in pediatric health both regionally and internationally.

By merging Boston Children’s Hospital’s extensive pediatric expertise with the cutting-edge facilities and integrated healthcare system of Dubai Health, the partnership is set to enhance health outcomes and provide valuable support to families across the region.
