Educators at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University have launched a series of new textbooks aimed at enhancing higher education across Turkmenistan. These academic materials have received approval from the Ministry of Education and were published with assistance from the Turkmen State Publishing Service.
University representatives indicated that these books are intended to elevate standards in modern agricultural education while improving study quality in economics, accounting, veterinary sciences, and animal husbandry. The resources are anticipated to benefit both teaching staff and students engaged in specialized degree programs.
A key publication, titled “Sectoral Accounting and Analysis,” has been authored by professors Orazsoltan Halmyradova, Ogulsuray Godekova, Dayanchmyrat Murrikov, and Maksat Jumayev. This textbook delves into financial and economic activities in both agricultural and industrial domains, with a particular focus on accounting techniques and economic assessment.
As per university officials, this work aligns with the National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052. The book is structured into two segments, addressing accounting frameworks, financial statements, production costs, evaluation methodologies, labor resources, agricultural yields, and financial management principles.
Additionally, an important resource titled “Zoohygiene”, authored by Associate Professor and Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Tore Garlyev, has been introduced. This textbook discusses hygiene standards for animals, veterinary practices, environmental health, and the management of livestock health. It presents scientific strategies for enhancing animal well-being, boosting productivity, and preventing diseases in contemporary agricultural practices.
The publication includes comprehensive chapters regarding hygiene for various species including horses, cattle, camels, dogs, as well as poultry and fish farming. It further elaborates on the care of the prestigious Akhal-Teke horses, veterinary regulations, safe animal transportation, and modern farm equipment utilized in the sector.
University officials stated that these new publications will serve as essential guides for students pursuing veterinary medicine, agricultural economics, accounting, and livestock sciences. The textbooks are designed to equip upcoming professionals with the necessary skills to advance Turkmenistan’s agricultural and veterinary fields.
The introduction of these educational materials underscores the country’s commitment to enhancing higher education and promoting scientific research in agriculture and animal sciences. Authorities affirm that bolstering educational content will significantly contribute to the agricultural sector's long-term growth and facilitate the training of highly competent professionals.
