Qatar Welcomes Lebanon Ceasefire, Urges Full Compliance

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The State of Qatar has welcomed the recently announced ceasefire in the Republic of Lebanon, describing it as a positive step toward de-escalation and regional stability. Doha emphasized the importance of full and immediate compliance by all parties to ensure the ceasefire holds and prevents further tensions.

In an official statement issued on Thursday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscored the need for sustained calm, highlighting that adherence to the agreement is crucial for avoiding renewed conflict in the region.

The ministry also expressed appreciation for the diplomatic efforts led by United States President Donald Trump, acknowledging his role in facilitating dialogue and mediation that contributed to the agreement.

Qatar further voiced hope that this development would reinforce ongoing regional and international initiatives aimed at achieving a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace. The statement reaffirmed the country’s continued support for diplomatic solutions and conflict resolution through constructive engagement.

Overall, Qatar positioned the ceasefire as an opportunity to advance stability, urging all stakeholders to act responsibly and uphold their commitments.
