HE Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, met on Thursday with HE Scott Gilmore, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada on Foreign, Defence, and Security Policy, who is currently visiting Doha. The meeting took place as part of ongoing efforts by both countries to strengthen cooperation and explore new areas of partnership.
During the discussion, both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral trade and investment relations between Qatar and Canada. They also exchanged views on the best ways to expand economic cooperation in a manner that benefits both nations. According to the Ministry, the meeting highlighted several promising sectors where collaboration could grow, including technology, energy, innovation, and advanced industries.
The talks also covered a number of wider issues of mutual interest. Both officials emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue to support shared goals and maintain a strong foundation for long-term cooperation.
