The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has characterized the recent Israeli actions as a significant threat to regional stability. They stated that such attacks are not only a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty but also represent a profound breach of international humanitarian principles and the established international order.
Expressing deep alarm over the escalating violence, Qatar has called for prompt action from the global community. The Gulf nation urged international powers and organizations to exercise pressure on Israel, insisting that they cease their recurrent assaults on Lebanon and adhere to established international norms.
Furthermore, the ministry highlighted the necessity of fully implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which was adopted in 2006 to ensure peace and security along the Lebanon-Israel border and avoid further military incidents.
Qatar reiterated its enduring support for Lebanon, underscoring its dedication to the nation's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The ministry affirmed Qatar's complete backing of initiatives designed to enhance Lebanon's security, stability, and economic growth.
This statement from Qatar arises amidst escalating regional tensions and pervasive global apprehension regarding the humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict on civilians and broader Middle East stability.
