In a significant move, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in Qatar has kicked off its inaugural volunteer training program dedicated to search and rescue missions along with disaster management.
This program is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established with the Qatar Voluntary Center, which is under the purview of the Ministry of Culture. The training sessions are being led by the Qatar Search and Rescue Team, ensuring that volunteers receive both professional guidance and practical experience.
The initiative underscores the crucial involvement of young individuals in national service. Its goal is to equip talented local volunteers with the skills needed for quick and efficient responses during emergencies.
Participants will acquire vital knowledge and practical experience related to disaster management, thus bolstering the country’s preparedness and reaction strategies.
