Qatar Boosts International Education Ties at Doha Forum 2025

HE Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, held several important meetings during her participation in Doha Forum 2025 to strengthen international collaboration in education. These meetings focused on protecting students’ rights, improving educational systems, and building capacity for teachers and students worldwide.

The Minister met with HE Commissioner for Human Rights of the Ukrainian Parliament, Dmytro Lubinets, to discuss protecting educational institutions and students in conflict zones. They also explored initiatives to create safe and supportive learning environments for affected students.

She also met with HE Minister of Social Affairs and Labor of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Hind Kabawat, where they discussed cooperation and exchanging expertise in youth capacity building. Their talks aimed to enhance programs that empower students and young people in various educational and social areas.

The Minister met with HE Vice President for Medical Affairs of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Foundation, Oguljahan Atabaeva, to discuss support for students with disabilities. They reviewed special education programs and initiatives to ensure inclusive and empowering learning opportunities.

Her Excellency also held discussions with the Rector of HSE University in Russia. The talks focused on collaboration in higher education, scientific research, joint academic programs, and sharing expertise. These efforts are intended to expand opportunities for students and researchers while building global academic capacity.

These meetings highlight Qatar’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships in education, protecting student rights, promoting inclusivity, and supporting capacity building across the globe.
