Qatar and Ukraine Focus on Reuniting Children Torn Apart by War

In a meeting held in Brussels on Tuesday, Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad engaged with Andrii Sybiha to explore avenues for bilateral collaboration, particularly in light of the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Both parties discussed methods to bolster cooperation between Qatar and Ukraine across various sectors. A significant part of the discussion centered on Qatar's mediation pursuits aimed at reuniting Ukrainian children with their families, separated due to the ongoing conflict.

Dr. Al Misnad emphasized Qatar's unwavering humanitarian commitment and its role in supporting initiatives for affected families. Qatar has taken a proactive stance in mediation efforts focused on family reunification and has supported international humanitarian causes arising from the crisis.

Andrii Sybiha, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, acknowledged Qatar's ongoing support, commending the nation's diplomatic initiatives to foster peace, stability, and international security. He showed gratitude for Qatar's contribution to reuniting Ukrainian children with their families.

This meeting showcases the deepening ties between Qatar and Ukraine and underscores Qatar's continuous diplomatic and humanitarian engagement in resolving international conflicts.
