Qatar Launches 2025 MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) officially launched the MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup 2025 on Thursday at the Lusail Karting Circuit. The event marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for motorsport in the region. Drivers, officials, marshals, national federations, partners, and motorsport enthusiasts gathered for the ceremony, which was filled with energy and excitement. The championship aims to bring together young talents from across the Middle East and North Africa to compete and celebrate their shared love for racing.

QMMF President and Lusail International Circuit Chairman Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai expressed his pride in hosting the championship once again. He emphasized that the event provides a platform for young drivers to develop their skills and passion for motorsport. According to him, the MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup plays a key role in shaping the next generation of racers who may one day represent their countries at the highest levels of international motorsport.

During his remarks, Al Mannai extended his gratitude to FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem for his ongoing support. He highlighted that the cooperation between QMMF and FIA has been essential in advancing motorsport in the MENA region. Ben Sulayem’s leadership and vision continue to inspire growth, inclusivity, and safety in racing across all levels—from grassroots karting to professional circuits.

Al Mannai also stressed that the championship reflects QMMF’s continued commitment to developing motorsport from the grassroots level. He explained that encouraging young people to participate in karting not only strengthens the sport but also helps build discipline, teamwork, and technical understanding among drivers. The event demonstrates Qatar’s role as a regional leader in motorsport, offering world-class facilities and professional support for upcoming athletes.

The QMMF President took the opportunity to thank the marshals, officials, and organizing team for their dedication and hard work. He acknowledged that their commitment ensures the smooth and safe operation of every race. Without their effort, the success of the championship would not be possible. He wished all competitors and teams great success throughout the event, encouraging them to display fair play, sportsmanship, and determination on the track.

This year’s competition is expected to be more competitive than ever before, showcasing a wide range of talent from across the MENA region. Drivers representing different countries will compete for national pride, demonstrating the true spirit of friendly rivalry. The event also provides a great opportunity for participants to learn from one another, share experiences, and build lasting friendships within the motorsport community.

The MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup serves as an important step in developing the future of regional motorsport. Many professional drivers began their careers in karting before advancing to international competitions such as Formula 1 and World Endurance Championship. Events like this allow young racers to gain experience, refine their racing skills, and build confidence in a professional racing environment.

Beyond competition, the championship also encourages unity and cooperation among the MENA nations. By bringing together participants from different cultural backgrounds, the event promotes mutual understanding, respect, and shared enthusiasm for racing. It stands as an example of how sport can strengthen ties and create positive connections across borders.

The MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience for both participants and fans. The mix of talent, teamwork, and high-performance racing will make it one of the most exciting motorsport events in the region. With Qatar’s excellent infrastructure and commitment to excellence, the championship is set to raise the standard for karting competitions in the years to come.

As the engines roar at Lusail Karting Circuit, the event symbolizes Qatar’s ongoing dedication to nurturing motorsport talent. The QMMF’s efforts not only strengthen regional competition but also inspire the next generation to dream big. With strong leadership, international cooperation, and a shared love for racing, the MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup 2025 begins with great promise and enthusiasm.
