Riyadh Philosophy Conference 2025 Begins with Global Experts

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The fifth edition of the Riyadh International Philosophy Conference 2025 began on Thursday, bringing together leading thinkers and researchers from across the world. This year’s three-day event is held under the theme “Philosophy Between East and West,” focusing on ideas, origins, and the connections that link different philosophical traditions. The conference continues to position Riyadh as a regional hub for intellectual dialogue and global cultural exchange.

More than 60 speakers from various countries are taking part in the conference. They represent a wide range of philosophical backgrounds and schools of thought. Their presence highlights the event’s role in creating a platform where diverse viewpoints can meet, interact, and contribute to a deeper understanding of global philosophy. The gathering aims to strengthen cultural communication and expand discussions that bridge the gap between different intellectual traditions.

The program includes over 40 dialogue sessions that explore the foundations of Eastern and Western philosophy. These sessions look into how ideas have developed, how they influence each other, and how different modes of thinking continue to shape modern knowledge. Participants will address key themes such as historical origins, shared concepts, and long-term intellectual exchanges that have shaped both traditions.

In addition to historical discussions, the conference also focuses on modern issues. Speakers are exploring topics related to human meaning, the impact of cultural changes, and the role of philosophy in helping societies understand the world around them. These conversations aim to show how philosophical thinking can support better decision-making, clearer understanding, and deeper cultural awareness in today’s fast-changing world.

The Riyadh International Philosophy Conference has become an important global event, bringing together experts to discuss cultural transformation, intellectual development, and the importance of modern philosophy. By encouraging open dialogue and exchanging ideas, the conference supports a richer, more connected global understanding of philosophical thought.
