Oman Navy Welcomes New Cadets for Military Training Program

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) has welcomed a new group of citizens to begin the military and academic program for officer cadets. These cadets successfully passed all acceptance and evaluation stages to join the program. Their enrollment is part of the national efforts led by the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, aiming to provide more job opportunities for citizens and strengthen national service.

The RNO has prepared all necessary administrative and health requirements for the cadets to ensure a smooth start to their training. The program focuses on building skills in honor, discipline, and national duty. Cadets will receive military education and practical experience to prepare them for leadership roles in the future.

The Sultan’s Armed Forces continue to provide qualified national personnel for different divisions of the SAF and other departments within the Ministry of Defence. This initiative ensures that Oman has a strong and capable workforce to serve the nation and protect its interests.

The program also aims to develop the cadets’ academic knowledge alongside military skills. By combining education and training, the Royal Navy of Oman ensures that cadets are ready for the challenges of modern defence services.

This step reflects Oman’s commitment to preparing young citizens for service, building national competencies, and supporting the strategic goals of the Sultan’s Armed Forces. It also strengthens the country’s efforts to involve citizens in protecting and serving the nation.
