Russian and Ukrainian negotiators began US-brokered talks in Geneva on Tuesday, aiming to end the ongoing four-year conflict. The talks, scheduled to last two days, come just hours after both sides carried out new long-range attacks.
Kyiv reported that Russia launched 29 missiles and 396 drones targeting Ukraine ahead of the Geneva negotiations. A source from the Russian delegation confirmed the start of the trilateral talks, while Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation, also confirmed their commencement.
The discussions are seen as a crucial step toward easing tensions and seeking a possible resolution to the prolonged conflict between the two nations.
