Lenovo and Saudi HRDF Launch Advanced Talent Training Program

Lenovo and Saudi HRDF Launch Advanced Talent Training Program

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has signed an important agreement with Lenovo Saudi Arabia. The deal aims to train and employ 100 Saudi men and women in high-value technical and engineering roles. The signing took place during the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s focus on developing skilled national talent.

As part of this agreement, Lenovo will launch its first specialized industrial training program in the Kingdom. The program is designed to equip Saudi nationals with globally competitive skills for careers in advanced manufacturing and high-tech industrial operations. Training will take place both inside and outside the country, with full support from HRDF. The initiative also complements Lenovo’s strategic partnership with Alat, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s human capabilities plan in advanced industries.

The program targets 100 Saudi participants who will gain expertise for critical roles in the industrial sector. Training will cover multiple areas, including engineering disciplines, production and industrial engineering, materials management, planning, and quality management. This ensures a complete development pathway for a skilled workforce capable of meeting the Kingdom’s growing industrial needs. Participants will receive hands-on training and guidance to build practical skills and professional experience.

All selected candidates will join Lenovo as full-time employees while entering the ISTDAM Advanced Talent Development Program. This four-month intensive training track focuses on building core competencies in high-tech industrial roles. By combining employment with specialized training, the initiative strengthens Saudi Arabia’s talent pipeline and provides real-world experience in cutting-edge industrial operations.

This partnership reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to building a world-class national workforce capable of driving growth in advanced technology and manufacturing sectors. The agreement also positions the Kingdom as a global leader in sustainable industrial development and strategic human capital investment. It encourages global companies like Lenovo to actively participate in Saudi Arabia’s industrial ecosystem.

The collaboration creates a model for future partnerships, offering a clear pathway for international companies to invest in Saudi Arabia’s advanced industrial infrastructure. With modern facilities, strategic investment, and a skilled national workforce, the Kingdom is emerging as a hub for innovation. Leading technologies in artificial intelligence, automation, and sustainable manufacturing are expected to find a strong foothold in the Saudi market.

By combining specialized training, employment, and international expertise, this initiative ensures that Saudi nationals are fully prepared to take on key positions in advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries. The program demonstrates the Kingdom’s commitment to nurturing talent, enhancing industrial capabilities, and achieving long-term economic development goals.
