His Highness Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, has greenlit the construction of a significant three-lane bridge designed to enhance traffic flow within the emirate.
This bridge will establish a connection between Mleiha Road and the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Bridge, specifically at the junction of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street and Mleiha Road. The total investment for this project is set at AED 140 million.
Officials have announced that construction is set to begin immediately, with an estimated completion time of one year.
The new infrastructure is engineered to facilitate traffic movement in all directions, aiming to alleviate congestion in the vicinity. Authorities predict that this project will reduce travel time by approximately nine minutes, enabling motorists to navigate through one of Sharjah’s most frequented road networks with greater ease.
This initiative is a part of Sharjah’s broader strategy to enhance infrastructure, aiming to improve road connectivity and transportation for both residents and visitors alike.
