H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, participated in key meetings on the sidelines of the 40th session of the Crans Montana Forum held in Rabat, Morocco. The event brought together international leaders, diplomats, and thinkers to explore new global opportunities for cooperation and development across the New Atlantic region.

Meetings with Global Representatives

During the forum, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad held separate meetings with Miguel Ángel Moratinos Cuyaubé, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilisations, and Rev. Dr. Andrea Ciucci, Coordinating Secretary at the Pontifical Academy for Life in the Vatican. Both meetings highlighted shared objectives of peacebuilding, intercultural dialogue, and international development.

Discussions Focused on Forum Priorities

The discussions revolved around the forum’s main themes, which include sustainable growth, global partnership, and advancing peace and prosperity through cooperation. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad noted the importance of this platform in fostering understanding between nations and promoting policies that contribute to global stability and human progress.

Emphasis on Fujairah’s Strategic Role

The Crown Prince highlighted Fujairah’s growing role as a hub for sustainable and inclusive development. He explained that Fujairah has made significant investments in industrial and logistics sectors to strengthen its transoceanic connections and attract global partnerships. These efforts, he said, align with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, to enhance the emirate’s position on the world stage.

Vision for Peace and Prosperity

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the Crans Montana Forum plays a vital role in building peace and prosperity by creating opportunities for open dialogue among global decision-makers. He added that such exchanges encourage innovation, understanding, and cooperation that transcend borders, aligning with the UAE’s values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

UN Representative’s Remarks on Cooperation

Miguel Ángel Moratinos expressed appreciation for the Crown Prince’s engagement and reaffirmed the United Nations’ commitment to working with leaders like Sheikh Mohammed to strengthen intercultural understanding. He praised the UAE’s and Fujairah’s efforts in promoting dialogue among civilizations and fostering global peace.

Vatican Official Highlights Shared Human Values

Rev. Dr. Andrea Ciucci, representing the Pontifical Academy for Life, echoed similar sentiments. He underscored the importance of partnerships between religious and civic leaders to address humanitarian issues, promote moral responsibility, and ensure inclusive development. He acknowledged that the UAE’s leadership has consistently supported these principles at regional and international levels.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Fujairah’s dedication to sustainable development as a core pillar of its growth strategy. He mentioned that the emirate continues to develop major projects in infrastructure, energy, and maritime trade that contribute to global supply chains. This strategic focus not only supports economic diversification but also positions Fujairah as a bridge connecting different regions of the world.

Supporting Global Dialogue and Cooperation

The Crown Prince also discussed the significance of maintaining active participation in global dialogues such as the Crans Montana Forum. He pointed out that these gatherings encourage collaboration between governments, international organizations, and the private sector to address shared challenges such as climate change, energy security, and economic inequality.

Warm Appreciation from Participants

Both Miguel Ángel Moratinos and Rev. Dr. Andrea Ciucci thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad for his insights and commitment to strengthening the spirit of cooperation. They stressed that continued dialogue between the UN, the Vatican, and countries like the UAE is essential for creating a more peaceful and balanced world.

Presence of Fujairah Officials

The meetings were attended by Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Crown Prince of Fujairah’s Office, who joined discussions supporting the emirate’s role in fostering international partnerships.

The participation of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi at the Crans Montana Forum highlighted Fujairah’s growing influence in global diplomacy and development cooperation.
