Ras Al Khaimah Offers Licence Exemptions for Local Businesses

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has approved a two-year exemption of commercial licences for businesses affected by ongoing infrastructure works in the Al Riffa and Al Jazeera Al Hamra areas. This measure aims to reduce operational burdens for companies during the development projects.

This initiative reflects Sheikh Saud’s commitment to supporting business owners and ensuring the continuity of their operations despite temporary disruptions. The exemption provides relief to affected enterprises, allowing them to maintain their activities without incurring licence fees during this period.

Boosting Economic Growth

The decision also underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s efforts to strengthen the private sector and foster a sustainable and competitive economic environment. The leadership aims to enhance the Emirate’s position as a regional business hub by boosting confidence among investors and local entrepreneurs.

Government’s Role in Development

The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development emphasized that the exemption embodies the leadership’s vision to empower local businesses. It is part of broader strategies to support economic resilience, encourage investment, and stimulate growth across the Emirate.

By easing the impact of infrastructure projects, the initiative ensures that affected companies can continue operations without interruption, safeguarding jobs and economic contributions. It also highlights the Emirate’s proactive approach to balancing development needs with the well-being of the business community.
