SpiceJet surged on the bourses on Monday, October 27, climbing more than 6% in intraday trading to hit a three-month peak of ₹40.59 a share. The gain marked the airline's third straight session of upward movement, bringing its cumulative rise to around 22.5% over recent days.
The airline said in an official release that it will operate 250 daily flights in the Winter Schedule 2025 — up from 125 flights in the summer timetable and 150 in the prior winter season. The carrier characterised the shift as a 100% increase, underlining a sharp operational ramp-up amid stronger travel demand.
SpiceJet added that its share price momentum continued after the company confirmed all 19 leased aircraft will be integrated into the fleet, with the expanded schedule being phased in from October 26, 2025.
As part of its international push, the airline announced nonstop daily services to Phuket from both Delhi and Mumbai, targeting growing leisure traffic from India’s largest metros.
By November 2025, SpiceJet aims to double its active fleet and triple its available seat kilometres (ASKM), a move designed to scale capacity and meet rising passenger volumes while strengthening key routes.
Debojo Maharshi, SpiceJet’s Chief Business Officer, said, “This winter represents a pivotal growth phase for us. Doubling daily flights demonstrates our renewed momentum and strategic clarity. Expanding the fleet will allow higher frequencies on busy sectors and the rollout of new destinations, giving travellers more options and value.”
Market analysts view the programme as a significant revival for SpiceJet stock after a volatile period. The combination of fleet additions, increased frequencies and fresh international routes has reassured investors and placed SpiceJet among the most discussed names in aviation this week.
