Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

For the first time, TRENDS Research & Advisory is participating in the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair running from November 19th to 29th at the International Fairgrounds in Mishref. Recognized as one of the most significant cultural events in the region, this book fair draws publishers, scholars, thinkers, and readers globally. Organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, the theme for this year is "Homeland of the Book… Capital of Culture", emphasizing the vital role that literature plays in fostering knowledge and dialogue among nations.

At the event, TRENDS will feature over 500 publications focusing on various topics, including cybersecurity, global economic trends, technology, and artificial intelligence. These works reflect the center’s dedication to delivering top-notch research aimed at enhancing understanding of critical global challenges. This extensive collection is designed to provide visitors, academics, and researchers with trustworthy insights into our rapidly changing world.

In addition to its exhibits, TRENDS plans to host multiple events, panel discussions, and intellectual exchanges to foster open dialogue surrounding significant international concerns. The organization aspires that these discussions will elevate awareness, improve understanding, and forge connections between researchers, policymakers, and the public. By uniting experts, TRENDS aims to present new solutions to pressing global issues.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, mentioned that the Kuwait International Book Fair provides an essential platform for experts, academics, and researchers to share their insights and diverging perspectives. He noted that such collaborations enhance the efficacy of think tanks and research institutions worldwide. According to Dr. Al-Ali, TRENDS values the role of book fairs in promoting educational growth and encouraging discussions on vital topics.

Participating in this prestigious event forms part of TRENDS’ strategic objective to enhance its footprint in intellectual discussions, both regionally and internationally. The center is committed to reaching wider audiences and contributing actively to the global research community. Dr. Al-Ali highlighted that book fairs serve as strategic venues that bring together individuals keen on learning, sharing, and contemplating the future. For TRENDS, this participation is a vital step toward expanding its influence in fostering knowledge and encouraging academic growth.

Hazza Al Hammadi, head of the Exhibitions section at TRENDS’ Distribution and Exhibitions Department, expressed that the center’s involvement aligns with its mission to disseminate valuable knowledge. He emphasized that TRENDS aims to ensure its research is accessible to a diverse audience—including specialists, scholars, students, and casual readers. Making publications available at international venues raises awareness of TRENDS’ work, benefiting those worldwide who have an interest in scientific research and global affairs.

Zayed Al Dhaheri, head of the Distribution section, highlighted that TRENDS’ pavilion will showcase various research, training, and consulting services tailored for institutions, organizations, and individuals seeking expert analyses. By engaging in the fair, TRENDS aims to form innovative partnerships with eminent research and educational institutions, further enhancing research quality and collaboration for new initiatives.

The involvement of TRENDS in the Kuwait International Book Fair signifies a crucial milestone for the center. It underlines its commitment to promoting knowledge, fostering academic dialogue, and being a key player in the global exchange of ideas. Through its publications, events, and services, TRENDS aims to assume a more prominent role in shaping conversations around global issues and directing future research initiatives. Its presence at the fair symbolizes the importance of books and research in constructing a more informed world.
