UAE Says Situation Safe After Missile Threat Alert

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Residents across the United Arab Emirates received a mobile alert from the UAE Ministry of Defence confirming that the situation in the country is currently safe after earlier warnings about possible missile and drone threats.

The message was sent to residents nationwide to reassure the public that security forces have handled the threat and that normal daily activities can continue.

In the alert, authorities thanked residents for their cooperation during the warning period. The message stated that the situation is now under control and safe, but people should still remain cautious and follow official safety instructions.

Officials said:
“Thank you for your cooperation. We reassure you that the situation is currently safe. You may resume your normal activities while continuing to remain cautious, take the necessary precautions, and follow official instructions.”

Earlier in the day, the defence ministry had warned that the country’s air defence systems were actively responding to incoming missile and drone threats launched from Iran amid rising regional tensions.

Authorities clarified that the alert sounds heard by many residents were triggered by interception operations carried out by the UAE’s defence systems.

Officials also urged residents to stay alert, follow safety guidance, and monitor official government channels for any further updates.

The UAE government said it is continuing to closely monitor the regional situation while coordinating defence measures to ensure the safety of residents and protect critical infrastructure across the country.
