Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, participated in the Fourth Ministerial Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy, held in Paris, France, on 22–23 October. The conference provided a platform for global leaders to discuss strategies to advance women’s rights and gender equality.
The event, hosted by the Government of France, brought together high-level political leaders, international organizations, development banks, civil society, research institutions, and philanthropic foundations from over 50 countries. The conference focused on strengthening international efforts to promote women’s rights worldwide.
The fourth edition of the conference was held under the theme, “How Can We Unite, Act, and Resist Together to Defend Gender Equality and the Rights of Women and Girls.” It aimed to build on the outcomes of previous conferences, encouraging global collaboration to advance women’s empowerment and participation in public life.
The conference coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the 25th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security. Both frameworks serve as foundations for collective action to ensure women’s rights, eliminate violence against women, and promote gender equality globally.
The UAE’s participation demonstrates the country’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing gender equality. Noura Al Kaabi’s attendance reflects the UAE’s efforts to empower women and girls, strengthen their role in public life, and contribute to international discussions on feminist policies.
The conference emphasized the importance of uniting nations, organizations, and civil society to promote shared goals for gender equality. By participating, the UAE engaged in discussions on innovative approaches and policies to advance women’s rights across political, economic, and social spheres.
Through such international forums, the UAE reinforces its position as a proactive advocate for gender equality. The minister’s presence highlights the country’s dedication to ensuring that women and girls are empowered, protected, and able to participate fully in society.
Participation in the Paris conference is part of the UAE’s broader strategy to implement initiatives supporting women’s empowerment and gender equality. The nation continues to prioritize policies and partnerships that drive progress, encourage leadership among women, and address global challenges affecting gender equality.
