Post by : Bianca Haleem

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the final day of the seventh UAE SWAT Challenge at Al Ruwayyah training ground in Dubai.

During the event, His Highness praised the exceptional performance, professionalism, and discipline of all participating teams. He also commended Dubai Police for hosting and organizing the championship, saying it reflects the UAE’s and Dubai’s ability to deliver world-class events.

“This challenge shows the importance of preparing skilled personnel who can make quick decisions in tough situations and work as one team,” His Highness added. “We saw this clearly in all participants’ performance and look forward to the event’s continued growth.”

Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, accompanied His Highness during the visit.

Sheikh Mohammed witnessed the final competitions, including the Obstacle Challenge, and met leaders of international police teams and women’s teams. He welcomed the teams to Dubai and praised the championship for promoting expertise exchange and international cooperation among police and security agencies.

This year, the UAE SWAT Challenge featured 109 teams from tactical and special police units across 48 countries, with senior officers and team leaders from six continents attending. Recognized as the largest competition of its kind, the event included five main challenges: Assault Challenge, Hostage Rescue, Officer Rescue, Tower Challenge, and Obstacle Challenge. These events simulated real-life operational scenarios, testing speed, strength, precision, and teamwork to enhance readiness and advanced police capabilities.

The UAE SWAT Challenge has become a global platform for sharing expertise, learning new methods, and showcasing the latest technologies in rapid response and crisis management, establishing the UAE as a leading host for major security and specialized events.
