T4 Education has announced that the Applied Technology Schools in Umm Al Quwain have been selected as one of the Top 10 finalists for the World's Best School Prizes 2025 in the “Innovation” category.
This is a huge achievement for the UAE, showing the country’s leadership in technical and vocational education, as well as its focus on building a culture of innovation within schools.
The Applied Technology Schools, which are part of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), aim to equip students with the skills needed for the future. These schools offer a unique educational approach that combines academic learning with hands-on training in fields like artificial intelligence, engineering, sustainability, health sciences, and cybersecurity.
Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Applied Technology and Director-General of ACTVET, said, “Being selected as one of the top 10 schools in the world for innovation reflects our leadership’s vision to make education a key pillar for shaping the future. It also highlights ACTVET’s efforts in boosting the global reputation of the Applied Technology Schools by providing young people with modern skills through an education system that focuses on fostering innovation.”
The World’s Best School Prizes is an annual event organized by T4 Education, in partnership with several international organizations. The prize recognizes schools that have made a positive impact in classrooms and communities, sharing best practices to advance education worldwide.
The Applied Technology Schools have gained recognition for their innovative student projects, including smart building systems and 3D design work. Students also participate in national and international competitions, like the EmiratesSkills National Competition and WorldSkills Asia, where they have won top positions in chemistry, IT, and other advanced subjects.
