Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi Secures 2026 Applause Award

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Miral has proudly revealed that Warner Bros. World Yas Island Abu Dhabi has been bestowed with the esteemed 2026 Liseberg Applause Award, marking it as the first theme park in the Middle East to gain such global acclaim.

Esteemed as one of the longest-standing and reputable honors in the theme park sector, this award acknowledges excellence in the management, operation, creativity, and overall guest experience of attractions.

The accolade was presented during the IAAPA Honors gala event held in Xcaret, Mexico. Hind Galadari, General Manager of Warner Bros. World, along with Daniel Wills, Executive Director of Projects Delivery at Miral, accepted the award on behalf of the dedicated team.

Dr. Mohammad Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, expressed that this achievement showcases the enthusiasm, inventiveness, and commitment of the teams and collaborators contributing to Warner Bros. World. He emphasized that this recognition is a step forward in enhancing Yas Island’s global standing as a prime destination for leisure and aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030.

Since its inception in 1980, only 22 theme parks worldwide have been honored with the Applause Award, with one park selected each award cycle. Notable past winners include Universal Studios Japan and Tokyo DisneySea.

In collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, Warner Bros. World Yas Island stands as the largest indoor theme park in the region, offering six unique themed lands, state-of-the-art rides, live performances, and family-oriented attractions.

The park is on the verge of a significant expansion, set to include a sought-after Harry Potter-themed land along with two brand new DC-themed rides, thereby elevating its entertainment offerings for visitors from around the globe.

This latest accolade underscores Miral’s ongoing commitment to promoting Yas Island and Abu Dhabi as premier destinations in the global tourism and entertainment landscape.
