Young Emirati athlete Ali Al Ali made the United Arab Emirates (UAE) proud by winning two silver medals at a major jet ski competition. He competed in the second round of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2025, which took place at the beautiful Lakes of Eau d’Heure in Belgium. His medals came from the Junior 4-Stroke and Junior 2-Stroke categories. This amazing achievement shows that UAE’s young athletes are becoming stars on the global sports stage.

A Big Boost in World Rankings

Thanks to these silver medals, Ali Al Ali has now moved up to second place in the overall world rankings. This means he is very close to becoming the best junior jet ski racer in the world. The final round of the championship will take place on December 17 in Pattaya, Thailand. If he performs well there, he might win the world title. This success has brought excitement and pride to sports fans across the UAE.

A Tough Field of Competitors

The Belgium tournament was not easy. It brought together over 200 competitors from 33 different countries, including some of the best jet ski racers in the world. To win medals in such a strong competition shows just how talented and focused Ali is. His performance shows that with hard work and passion, Emirati athletes can stand tall against the best in the world.

Veteran Rider Also Brings Home a Medal

Ali was not the only UAE athlete to shine. Veteran jet ski rider Mohammed Mohsen also made the country proud by winning a bronze medal in the Veterans Runabout Limited category. This race featured experienced racers from around the globe, and the competition was fierce. His podium finish proves that the UAE is strong in both youth and veteran divisions of this exciting water sport.

Challenges Faced by the UAE Team

Not everything went smoothly for the UAE team. Ahmed Al Tayyer had to withdraw from the race because of a technical issue with his jet ski. Another Emirati athlete, Saif Al Shuweihi, had an unfortunate accident and crashed during one of the heats, forcing him to leave the competition early. Even though these challenges were tough, the team still brought home multiple medals and valuable experience for the future.
