The Al Dhafra Youth Council has proudly introduced the Youth Imprint program as part of the Liwa International Festival 2026. This initiative emphasizes the essential contribution of youth and their councils in supporting national occasions as well as serving their communities.
The program aims to encourage active youth involvement by launching meaningful projects with sustainable cultural, sports, and social elements during the festival. It serves as a collaborative hub, uniting efforts from the youth and partner organizations to create innovative experiences that empower young individuals.
Youth Imprint signifies the first holistic integration of youth councils into the framework of the Liwa International Festival, highlighting the increasing relevance of institutional youth engagement in bolstering national events and enhancing community roles.
This initiative saw participation from over 15 partners, including government ministries, private sector entities, and youth councils, aimed at empowering the youth and increasing their participation in community life. More than 600 young individuals and community members from the UAE took part in the program.
Throughout the festival, eight varied activities were organized by the Council, such as dialogue sessions, youth circles, workshops, a cinema festival, community activation events, and sports tournaments. These events focused on developing key skills, nurturing leadership qualities, and creating open forums for sharing experiences among young participants.
Importantly, the initiative featured the inaugural Tebah Challenge and a Padel Tournament specifically for Youth Councils, promoting communication, collaboration, and healthy competition among youth councils nationwide.
Youth circles addressed key social issues like “From the Year of Community to the Year of Family” and “Youth Challenges with Awareness and Responsibility,” boosting young people's awareness of their role in fostering social cohesion and community values.
In line with its community engagement goals, the Council also organized the Knots of Liwa activation with The Knot, featuring a collaborative art installation inspired by traditional Emirati crafts, which symbolizes the spirit of Liwa and reinforces national identity.
Additionally, the Community Dialogue initiative, Dalma of the Future: Innovative Solutions for Community Empowerment, addressed development challenges in remote areas, showcasing inventive ideas aimed at enhancing community well-being.
The Al Dhafra Youth Council emphasized that its extensive partnerships across sectors greatly enhance the initiative's impact, representing a unified effort to empower youth while supporting the UAE’s national development objectives.
The Youth Imprint initiative is part of the Council’s ongoing commitment aligned with the UAE’s vision to invest in youth, promote their proactive role in community advancement, and increase their participation in vital national events, especially in the Al Dhafra region.
