5 Simple Habits to Maintain Your Fitness Before 2026

Post by : Saif Al-Najjar

As we approach the end of 2025, many tend to relax their fitness routines. With the influx of holidays, travels, and seasonal treats, it’s common to think, “I’ll just start fresh in January.” However, Raj Ganpath, a seasoned fitness coach with over 17 years of experience, insists that the last six weeks of the year hold significant potential for maintaining your health. In a recent Instagram post on November 17, he lays out a straightforward plan designed to help individuals manage their weight and kick off the new year feeling fit and self-assured.

According to Ganpath, avoiding complex diets or challenging workout regimens is vital. His main focus is simply on ensuring zero weight gain before year's end. By achieving this, individuals can begin January free from guilt and mental burden, instead feeling empowered and ready to excel.

To facilitate this aim, he recommends five straightforward and achievable steps. The first involves committing to 20 exercise sessions in the upcoming six weeks—an average of just over three workouts each week, a target many can meet despite busy schedules. The second step is to aim for 8,000 to 10,000 steps daily. He emphasizes that this can be achieved through brief walks at various times throughout the day, enhancing overall activity levels.

The third step focuses on dietary habits, advising that each meal should incorporate a protein source alongside vegetables. He warns against heavy, greasy meals, promoting simple and light options that leave you satisfied without piling on excess calories. The fourth step reminds individuals to monitor portion sizes, suggesting they eat slightly less than usual or to stop when they feel comfortably full.

Finally, the fifth step emphasizes the importance of regular weigh-ins. Ganpath encourages individuals to check their weight daily or every few days to stay aware of their health status. Catching any weight gain early allows for prompt adjustments, fostering a sense of accountability and consistency.

Ganpath believes that adhering to these five habits over the next six weeks can significantly impact one's well-being, allowing for a lighter and healthier start to 2026. Rather than commencing the new year with weight loss pressures, individuals can embrace a more positive outlook. His approach highlights taking manageable steps rather than waiting for the 'perfect' moment or a new year to initiate change.

This message resonates particularly well, as many encounter challenges with weight management during the festive season. His guidance is straightforward, practical, and easy to implement at home. The focus is not on drastic alterations but rather on sustaining balance and preserving progress. With his extensive experience in the fitness industry, Ganpath’s insights are both compelling and motivating for many online followers.
