Partnership to Propel AI Game Development in Abu Dhabi

A significant alliance has been formed between Abu Dhabi Gaming and ASPIRE to fast-track the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the gaming sector, positioning Abu Dhabi as a pivotal leader in technology and interactive entertainment.

The formal agreement was established at the A2RL Summit held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, signed by His Excellency Saeed Ali Obaid Al Fazari, Executive Director of the Strategic Affairs Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), in collaboration with Stephane Timpano, CEO of ASPIRE.

This venture aims to merge the dynamic ecosystem of Abu Dhabi Gaming with ASPIRE's superior research capabilities to drive innovation. The focus will be on ground-breaking gamification initiatives and the expanded implementation of artificial intelligence in the gaming landscape.

Part of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), ASPIRE addresses industry challenges and translates advanced technologies into viable, scalable solutions. This partnership will enable gaming startups and seasoned studios to access cutting-edge tools, specialized technical knowledge, and innovative technologies, facilitating the progression of new ideas from inception to market.

His Excellency Saeed Ali Obaid Al Fazari stated that this partnership amalgamates premier research facilities with Abu Dhabi's flourishing gaming industry, opening up avenues for innovation, talent cultivation, and diversified economic growth. He emphasized that the collaboration would empower gaming enterprises, assist creators, and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier destination for interactive entertainment and the digital economy.

This alliance also underscores Abu Dhabi Gaming's dedication to fostering economic development through creative sectors. It fosters cooperation between local developers in the UAE and renowned global technology and gaming firms, promoting innovation, expertise sharing, and overall industry advancement.

Stephane Timpano shared that gaming has emerged as a crucial field for artificial intelligence and the digital economy, largely due to its requirement for real-time decision-making, complex simulations, and creative talent. He remarked that the partnership will expedite AI integration, enhance local competencies, and aid in developing scalable intellectual property.
