During the Milken Institute Global Conference, a premier assembly for leaders in policy and innovation, His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori called on global firms, investors, and innovators to collaborate with Abu Dhabi in crafting cutting-edge healthcare solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
In a session titled “Reimagining Healthcare, for Abu Dhabi and Beyond” alongside Diane Brady, Al Mansoori elaborated on how the emirate is nurturing a healthcare model that prioritizes prevention and proactive health monitoring over conventional treatment approaches.
He portrayed Abu Dhabi as a global laboratory for AI-centric healthcare advancements, bolstered by a cohesive digital health framework. He noted that AI facilitates accelerated drug discovery by merging data from genetic profiles, physical traits, and wearable technology into a singular intelligent platform.
Al Mansoori explained how this system operates as an evidence engine, enabling healthcare providers and companies to assess product effectiveness and patient outcomes in real-time.
Emphasizing the significance of predictive healthcare, he asserted that upcoming healthcare frameworks must prioritize early detection of health concerns before they escalate into severe conditions. Abu Dhabi’s AI-driven healthcare platform integrates various medical data types into one comprehensive system, allowing authorities to better oversee and manage the health sector.
During the discussion, Al Mansoori also shed light on the function of AI Agents within Abu Dhabi’s Unified Medical Operations Command Centre (UMOC), referred to as the emirate’s “health brain”.
He asserted that AI Agents have enhanced operational efficiency by facilitating real-time incident detection, expediting emergency responses, and initiating medical assistance while patients are still en route in ambulances. He asserted that this AI-integrated system fosters a continuous intelligence loop, enriching healthcare planning and resilience.
Al Mansoori articulated that Abu Dhabi’s long-term healthcare vision focuses on economic diversification, investments in technology, infrastructure enhancement, and developing human capital. He envisioned a healthcare model that “cares before it cures,” by granting the populace better access to health data and preventive care solutions.
On the conference sidelines, he engaged with global leaders from AI, biotechnology, genomics, pediatrics, longevity, and investment sectors during a special dinner hosted by the Future Health – A Global Initiative by Abu Dhabi platform.
These discussions revolved around creating anticipatory healthcare systems, widening access to predictive healthcare, and developing innovative financing structures to enhance global health outcomes in the long term.
