A remarkable classical concert honoring feminine beauty took place at the Magtymguly National Musical Drama Theater in Ashgabat, starring the esteemed French pianist Christine Fonlupt. Accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, led by Resul Gylyjov, the evening was a true celebration of art.

This event showcased French compositions from the 19th and 20th centuries, each piece reflecting the inspiration drawn from women. The performance exuded an atmosphere rich with elegance, emotional depth, and artistic passion.

Highlights included Claude Debussy's enchanting piece, “Arabesque No. 1,” which transported the attendees into an imaginative realm. Christine also delivered a poignant rendition of “Clair de Lune,” beautifully capturing the ethereal essence of feminine grace illuminated by moonlight.

The concert featured notable works by Georges Bizet alongside celebrated female composers such as Cecile Chaminade, whose composition “Terpsichore” received much acclaim.

Compositions by Mel Bonis were also performed, depicting renowned female figures such as Desdemona, Ophelia, and Salome, deepening the narrative experience of the concert.

Audience members greeted the concert with overwhelming enthusiasm, culminating in an encore of “Black Earth” by Fazil Say, leaving a profound impression.

In a post-concert press conference, Christine Fonlupt conveyed her gratitude towards Turkmenistan, commending the warm reception from the audience and the vibrant cultural environment of Ashgabat, making her visit truly unforgettable.
