Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd has announced a new long-term agreement with AJet and Turkish Airlines to lease 10 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft. These planes will be delivered in two phases, with part of the fleet arriving in 2026 and the rest in 2027. The deal reflects the growing needs of AJet as it continues to expand its operations in Türkiye’s rapidly developing aviation market.
Firoz Tarapore, the Chief Executive Officer of DAE, expressed his happiness about the partnership. He said that DAE is pleased to support a long-time customer like Turkish Airlines by helping AJet grow with modern and efficient aircraft. Tarapore added that Türkiye is one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world, and this creates a strong demand for updated fleets. According to data from Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport, flight movements in the first half of 2025 increased by 5.7 percent, showing clear growth in passenger travel and air operations.
He further noted that DAE greatly values the trust shown by Turkish Airlines and AJet. He wished the airlines success as they prepare to add the new planes to their fleet. Tarapore also highlighted that the selected aircraft are new-technology, fuel-efficient models that help reduce emissions and operating costs—an important benefit for airlines working to improve sustainability.
The Boeing 737-8 model is part of the advanced 737 MAX family and is known for its improved fuel-saving capabilities and better performance on medium-range routes. For an airline like AJet, which is expanding both domestic and international operations, these planes offer valuable efficiency and flexibility. The updated fleet will help AJet manage higher passenger demand and improve its route network across different regions.
Currently, DAE owns, manages, or has committed to owning a total of 236 Boeing aircraft, out of which 119 belong to the 737 MAX family. This shows DAE’s strong confidence in the aircraft type and its long-term partnership with Boeing. With such a large number of Boeing planes in its portfolio, DAE continues to play a major role in supporting airline growth around the world by providing reliable, modern aircraft solutions.
The new agreement is also an important step for Turkey’s aviation sector. As more travelers choose to fly and tourism continues to rise, airlines such as AJet and Turkish Airlines are focusing on expanding their fleets with high-quality, fuel-efficient jets. With the rising number of flights and expanding airport infrastructure in Türkiye, the demand for advanced aircraft is only expected to increase.
By securing this lease partnership with DAE, AJet will be better equipped to meet future travel demand, improve on-time performance, and offer a stronger, more comfortable travel experience to passengers. The arrival of the new planes in 2026 and 2027 will support the airline’s long-term strategy for growth and modernization.
In summary, this agreement marks a significant achievement for DAE, AJet, and Turkish Airlines. It highlights DAE’s strong position in the global aircraft leasing market and reinforces its commitment to supporting airline partners with modern and efficient planes. It also strengthens AJet’s future plans and ensures that passengers benefit from a more modern and dependable aircraft fleet.
