The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has announced the launch of the first edition of the Aviation Safety Transformation Summit 2025. Scheduled to take place from 22nd to 23rd October in Dubai, the summit aims to become a key platform for advancing aviation safety standards and fostering collaboration among industry leaders.
The summit will bring together aviation executives, regulators, airline representatives, and technology innovators to explore future trends in aviation safety. By sharing expertise and best practices, participants will work to strengthen the sector’s readiness for upcoming challenges and transformations.
Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director-General of the DCAA, emphasized the importance of safety standards as essential pillars for sustainable growth in aviation. He noted that the summit will highlight global trends, challenges, and opportunities, while establishing a framework capable of addressing future demands in line with Dubai’s visionary leadership.
The two-day summit will feature keynote addresses, certified training sessions, interactive workshops, and the launch of pioneering safety initiatives. Participants will gain insights from international experts and explore strategies to enhance operational resilience and implement advanced safety frameworks.
The summit will focus on several vital topics, including strategic safety governance, risk intelligence management, digital safety, and emerging aviation technologies. Discussions will also cover operational resilience, international compliance, and the integration of technology-driven safety measures.
The event comes at a critical time for the aviation industry, which is experiencing rapid growth. Passenger numbers worldwide are expected to surpass 10 billion by 2025. Dubai International Airport (DXB) has already demonstrated this growth, welcoming over 46 million passengers in the first half of the year.
The summit will host a distinguished lineup of global aviation leaders and subject-matter experts across multiple disciplines, including human factors, emergency response management, airspace oversight, operational risk intelligence, and digital aviation safety technologies.
The Aviation Safety Transformation Summit supports Dubai’s broader strategy to reinforce its global leadership in aviation. Major infrastructure projects, such as the expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport—expected to become the world’s largest airport with a capacity of 260 million passengers annually by 2050—underscore Dubai’s commitment to building a safe, efficient, and resilient aviation ecosystem.
