Diljit Dosanjh Unveils Teaser for New Track ‘Senorita’ on Birthday

Post by : Meena Hassan

On January 6, Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh celebrates his 42nd birthday with a delightful surprise for his fans. The talented singer and actor has teased his forthcoming international single, “Senorita”, in collaboration with Colombian musical star J Balvin.

Taking to Instagram, Diljit shared the teaser along with a caption that reads: “Birthday Surprise with The Pride of Colombia. Big Brother J Balvin. Hello Balvinistas.” The video showcases vibrant floral arrangements and a catchy background score, fusing Punjabi and Latin elements for an upbeat party atmosphere. J Balvin makes a notable appearance towards the end, heightening the anticipation. The full video is set to launch tomorrow, January 7.

J Balvin, a prominent name in Latin music, boasts an impressive collection of accolades, including 11 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 6 Latin Grammys, 5 MTV Video Music Awards, and 7 Latin American Music Awards. He gained widespread recognition with his breakout track “6 AM” featuring Farruko in 2014 and became the first Latino artist to grace stages at renowned festivals such as Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Tomorrowland.

In addition to this release, Diljit is gearing up for the premiere of “Border 2”, a war drama helmed by Anurag Singh that serves as a spiritual sequel to JP Dutta's classic 1997 film “Border”. The movie features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, along with supporting roles by Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh.

Previously, on January 2, the team behind “Border 2” unveiled the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge”, a refreshed version of the well-loved “Sandese Aate Hain”, featuring Diljit alongside Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Sonu Nigam. This production by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with JP Films draws inspiration from the 1999 Kargil conflict and is set to hit theaters on January 23.
