The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has kicked off the second phase of its Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme, following the success of its initial phase. This new round aims to incorporate 25 additional Emirati participants, enhancing the involvement of UAE nationals in the burgeoning real estate market.
This initiative is part of Dubai's broader ambition to forge a knowledge-driven, diverse economy anchored by entrepreneurship and local talent. It also fosters a sustainable and competitive property market by aiding Emiratis in launching and managing their own brokerage firms.
Offered in partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai, the programme goes beyond foundational training. It provides mentorship, practical insights, and valuable interactions with key players and stakeholders from the real estate sector.
Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), stated that the launch of this next phase underscores Dubai's ongoing dedication to empowering Emirati talent and amplifying their influence in the future of the real estate industry.
He emphasized that the programme is tailored to equip Emirati brokers and entrepreneurs with essential skills, knowledge, and resources to build thriving brokerage firms, thereby contributing to an effective and competitive real estate market.
Al Shehhi also noted the first phase's success in showcasing the potential of Emirati talent when placed in a conducive environment with professional guidance and hands-on learning opportunities. He urged Emirati citizens and aspiring entrepreneurs to seize this opportunity and transform their ambitions into successful ventures within one of Dubai's most dynamic sectors.
This six-month phase will include specialized training that encompasses the legal, regulatory, operational, financial, and marketing facets of starting and running real estate brokerage firms. The programme will additionally emphasize the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in the real estate realm and advocate for professional ethics and standards.
Participants will also have the chance to network directly with developers and market stakeholders to identify investment prospects and cultivate the professional relationships essential for launching and growing their businesses.
The first phase effectively bridged the gap between participants and the real estate market, improving their preparedness to transition from training to actual business operations.
Through this initiative, Dubai Land Department remains committed to fostering Emirati entrepreneurship by creating a framework that merges education, practical experience, and lasting economic impact. The goal is to nurture a new generation of Emirati real estate firms capable of bolstering market growth and enhancing Dubai’s global competitiveness in real estate investments.
DLD invites Emirati citizens interested in joining the real estate field, whether experienced professionals or newcomers seeking a change, to apply for the second phase by May 25, 2026.
